I see that as of today 33 folks have stopped by to look at this, but no one has anything to share that would clear up the confusion I am having on this topic. I AM NOT out to bring legal action against anyone. I just don't understand this situation. I saw someone offering a copy of Sgt. Pepper in mono on what was clearly described as a cd-r. To my mind the only way this is possible is the person ran their copy of the vinyl off onto disc OR they are making a copy of the newly released mono version (or some variation thereof). It sounded illegal, but it was a store ad so I figured there must be some exception I am unaware of that makes this allowable. Part of the reason I ask is that I am currently transferring old 8 track Quad tapes to DVD-A discs. If it is legal for me to sell them I might offer them for sale as I am currently unemployed and could use the extra income while I am looking for a job. But I wouldn't want to do it if it wasn't legal to do so. That's why I am looking for someone who can help me understand what is and is not allowed in this area. Again, thanks for any info anyone can offer.
